THE LOST GARDEN - ISSUE # 1

The lost garden idea is related to a typical Berlin factory backyard in Hermannstrasse.
Till 1971 the court was part of a chocolate manufacturer situated in the building. After that it was hosting an actors collective founded by Ilse Scheer and others. "Theatermanufaktur" was a sort of common residence for actors and became an Off-Theater projekt during the 80's.
In this contest artists are invited to make an intervention and develop works that deal with the architectonic and social enviroment. The projekt will take place from February 5th to 6th and call for a collaborative approach between invited artists.
